About The Position
The Coil Fabricator is responsible for properly setting up, stacking, testing, as well as, properly drying, standing up, moving, and detailing coils. Assisting machine operators in the department may be required.
Requirements
- Maintain positive, cheerful, and professional behavior daily.
- Maintain good attendance and time management.
- Able to be a team member and take advice and instruction from senior operators.
- Able to properly operate a machine in the department (i.e. bender).
- Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to safety regulations at all times.
- Able to read and understand Engineering drawings.
- Read a measuring tape down to 1/32 of an inch.
- Able to properly use hand tools.
- Work with supervision of department supervisor and Coil Senior Operators.
- Able to operate the 10-ton crane, or ability to be trained for crane operation.
- Requires very good agility (i.e. Bending, standing, walking, reaching, twisting and lifting).
- Lifting and Carrying parts up to 50lbs, or 100lbs+ with assistance (i.e. two-person lift, mechanical lifting).
- Safety glasses.
- Cut resistant gloves when handling material.
- Cut resistant sleeves.
- Steel or composite toe boots/shoes.
- Bump caps when utilizing overhead crane or entering units.
- Face shield when grinding or cutting.
Responsibilities
- Properly setting up coils with minimal supervision.
- Stacking and testing circuits.
- Properly drying, standing up, moving, and detailing coils.
- Assisting machine operators in the department.
- Maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
- Adhering to all company policies and work rules.
- Assisting in other areas of the plant if required.
