About The Position

We are seeking a Coil Loader and Floop Operator on 2nd Shift to join our team at the Ocala FL plant! This role involves working in a manufacturing setting that may include dust and debris and can be loud at times. The operator will perform various tasks involved in Coil Loading operation including but not limited to setting up and operating machines, handling parts and materials, packing parts and other related activities using hand tools and various types of packing materials. The position requires adherence to all applicable safety procedures to avoid injuries, including requesting help from co-workers. Proper handling of finished parts and products to avoid injuries or damage is essential, as is following all operational instructions when operating or using tools and equipment. Quality checks will be performed as determined. The job may require overtime and a flexible schedule, including reporting early, working late, and weekends.

Requirements

• Excellent verbal communication skills with strong aptitude for operating machinery.
• Ability to follow instructions and learn the production process.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to perform repetitive tasks.
• Must be able to clear drug screen and background check.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

• Hi-Lo Certification preferred, will be trained, and certified on the hi-lo.
• 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assembles, and fabricates metal parts by operating mechanical equipment.
• Uses a machine operated welder to create continuity between new and (WIP) product.
• Assembles parts into sub-units or complete units.
• Uses forklift/ overhead crane to restock metal coils.
• Monitors proficiency of machine performance and ensures continuity in the manufacturing process.
• Completes low level maintenance to ensure machine capability.
• Takes measurements of material to ensure material is meeting specification.
