About The Position

Volt is immediately hiring for a Coil Assembly Technician / Production Assembler in Rainsville, AL 35986. As a Coil Assembly Technician / Production Assembler, you will prepare coils and components for final assembly and testing, bend, shape, cut, strip, and solder wires and electrical leads, attach wires using lugs, crimps, and connectors, pull lead wires and install protective sleeving, use pneumatic and hydraulic crimping tools, sand and prepare wire surfaces as required, read and follow work instructions, specifications, blueprints, and assembly drawings, perform quality checks to ensure products meet specifications, safely lift, move, and position materials using lift-assist equipment, support physical inventory and cycle count activities, meet daily production, efficiency, and quality goals, maintain 6S, Lean Manufacturing, and workplace organization standards, follow all safety regulations and PPE requirements, and perform additional assembly and production duties as assigned. This is a full-time, contract opportunity with a 2nd Shift schedule (training on 1st Shift).

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing, production, assembly, or electrical assembly experience preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, work instructions, and shop aids
  • Ability to solder wires and electrical components
  • Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Basic problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods

Responsibilities

  • Prepare coils and components for final assembly and testing
