About The Position

Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC) is a world leader in the aerospace industry, manufacturing next-generation engines for the largest fleet of business, general aviation, and regional aircraft and helicopters worldwide. This 13-month paid program, in partnership with ÉMAM, offers a unique opportunity to launch a career in aerospace machining. It combines theoretical and practical training to become a future machinist, with no prior experience required. This program is ideal for individuals seeking a career change into a hands-on field.

Requirements

  • Minimum Secondary 5 diploma and/or a vocational studies diploma (DEP).
  • At least 18 years old at the time of registration.
  • Eligible to work permanently in Canada.
  • Mastery of French (oral and written).
  • Excellent learning ability.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills (comprehension and logic).
  • Interpersonal skills: teamwork and positive attitude.
  • Interest in machining and manufacturing.
  • Functional knowledge of English (written and spoken) is required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop skills in Health/Safety, continuous improvement, quality, and other industry-required areas.
  • Learn blueprint reading, metrology, conventional and CNC machining as found in Pratt & Whitney Canada's manufacturing workshops.
  • Participate in company internships as part of the training program.
