Cognitive Debriefing is a crucial part of the Linguistic Validation process for Clinical Outcome Assessments (COAs). This process ensures that translated materials are linguistically accurate, high-quality, culturally appropriate, and faithful to the original meaning. Cognitive Debriefing verifies that the translated instrument is comprehensible and relevant to the target population. In this role, participants representative of the patient population under study will review the translated questionnaire or instrument and provide feedback to an interviewer on its clarity, cultural relevance, and overall understandability.
