Requirements

Ability to prepare coffee to Marriott standards.
Ability to create a positive first impression with a warm smile.
Ability to address guests by name whenever possible.
Ability to change out coffee every two hours.
Ability to stock shelves, counters, or tables.
Ability to arrange food displays to promote sales.
Ability to handle payment transactions using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
Ability to follow proper cash handling procedures.
Ability to maintain an issued bank at the correct amount.
Ability to provide efficient and friendly service for to-go items.
Ability to maintain cleanliness of shelves, tables, floors, counters, and the outside patio area.
Ability to restock sold items.
Ability to record and document cash in the register at the end of the shift.
Ability to keep track of sales and prepare an inventory of stock.
Ability to practice proper food handling techniques.
Ability to adhere to company guidelines and federal regulations.
Ability to observe all requirements set forth by the ABC board.

Responsibilities

Prepare coffee to Marriott standards, ensuring its quality and freshness in the Hotel’s Coffee Shop.
Create a positive and enjoyable dining experience for guests by making a positive first impression with a warm smile and addressing guests by name whenever possible.
Change out coffee every two hours to maintain optimal taste.
Stock shelves, counters, or tables with the appropriate items.
Arrange food displays to promote sales.
Ensure a memorable and enjoyable experience for coffee shop patrons.
Maintain a clean and organized work area by practicing clean as you go methods.
Welcome each customer with a warm smile, addressing them by name when possible, and offering assistance to make them feel valued and comfortable.
Effectively handle payment transactions using the Point of Sale (POS) system and follow proper cash handling procedures.
Ensure that your issued bank is maintained at the correct amount at all times for accurate transactions.
Provide efficient and friendly service for guests purchasing to-go items by wrapping or bagging them appropriately.
Maintain the cleanliness of shelves, tables, floors, counters, and the outside patio area to uphold high sanitation standards.
Restock sold items, including retail and culinary/pastry items, to ensure guests have access to a wide selection of products.
Record and document the amount of cash in the register at the end of your shift for accurate accounting.
Keep track of sales and prepare an inventory of stock to ensure smooth operations and restocking as needed.
Practice proper food handling techniques while preparing food and drink items to maintain safety and hygiene standards.
Adhere to company guidelines and federal regulations when reporting gratuities and observe all requirements set forth by the ABC board.
