About The Position

The Coffee Barista is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality coffee, espresso beverages, teas, and light food items to the hospital staff, patients, visitors, and guests. This position helps create a welcoming and professional cafe environment that enhances the overall customer experience while adhering to all hospital food safety, sanitation, and customer service standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred
• Previous barista, cafe, restaurant, food service or customer service experience, preferred
• Experience in operating espresso equipment is preferred but not required
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to prepare specialty coffee beverages
• Basic math skills and cash handling experience
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Friendly, professional demeanor with a commitment to hospitality
• Use of usual and customary equipment used to perform essential functions of the position
• Passing a pre-employment screening, which includes: Criminal background check, Drug Screening, Health and Immunizations Screening
