About The Position

Operating within a transversal business unit, this position is part of a dynamic team of professionals specializing in comprehensive employee mobility support. The CoE International Mobility Specialist, Americas serves as the primary subject matter expert and dedicated point of contact for employees navigating expatriate assignments across the Americas region. Reporting directly to the Head of International Mobility CoE, Americas, you will support and guide the end-to-end expatriate lifecycle, delivering a seamless, compliant, and positive experience for international assignees and their families. In this Center of Excellence (CoE) role, you will act as a key partner to HR Business Partners, Group International Mobility team, and the International Mobility GBS team, providing vital strategic guidance and operational excellence across all facets of international mobility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, International Business, or a closely related professional field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Progressive professional experience in HR, ideally International Mobility, typically around 3 years or more.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to interact effectively across diverse cultural backgrounds and at all hierarchical levels of the organization.
  • Excellent organizational capabilities, sharp attention to detail, and a proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously within a dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated capability to thrive independently, while maintaining strong collaborative ties within a broader team setting.
  • Hands-on experience with Workday is considered a highly valued asset.
  • Professional fluency in English is essential for the role.

  • Working knowledge of French or Spanish is a distinct advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the dedicated expert and central liaison for employees and their families throughout the entirety of their expatriate assignment lifecycle within North, Central, and South America.
  • Coordinate and facilitate all phases of the expatriate process, including contract negotiations, relocation logistics, payroll coordination, tax support liaison, bonus and merit cycles, repatriation, and assignment extensions.
  • Interpret and apply the corporate international mobility policy to ensure consistent, compliant execution across all assignments while providing clear guidance and handling exceptions for employees and business stakeholders.
  • Liaise with external relocation and tax vendors to support high-quality service delivery, operational efficiency, and overall cost-effectiveness.
  • Partner closely with HR Business Partners and the Group International Mobility team to align assignments with regional business needs, providing proactive strategic and operational support.
  • Coordinate holistic relocation services, including household goods shipment, temporary and permanent housing placement, school search assistance, and local settling-in services.
  • Steward the end-of-assignment and repatriation lifecycle, ensuring a smooth, supportive, and well-coordinated transition back to the home country or to a subsequent international assignment.
  • Ensure alignment and support compliance with all relevant legal, regulatory, and tax requirements associated with international assignments in the Americas, actively identifying and mitigating potential mobility risks.
  • Evaluate existing international mobility workflows to introduce process enhancements that maximize efficiency, lower operational costs, and elevate the overall employee experience.
  • Maintain highly accurate, up-to-date records of all international assignments and generate comprehensive mobility reports as required.
