About The Position

We are seeking a Coding Specialist, Ambulatory Services, to join our growing and thriving organization. This is a Remote position, however candidates must live within a reasonable driving distance to La Crosse, WI. The focus of this role is Ophthalmology.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Coding Certification Required - CPC, CPC-A, CCA, COC, CCS, CCS-P, or RHIA or RHIT.
• 1 year of experience in a healthcare facility, healthcare business office or equivalent education.
• Candidates must live within a reasonable driving distance to La Crosse, WI.
• Candidates must be from WI, IA, or MN.

Nice To Haves

• Associate's degree desired.
• 1 year of Coding experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate and efficient coding for ambulatory services, with a focus on Ophthalmology.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant coding guidelines and regulations.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate and complete documentation for coding purposes.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding practices and changes in the healthcare industry.
