About The Position

Under general supervision, this role is responsible for assisting with analyzing medical record documentation against billing documentation guidelines and educating departments and faculty on appropriately documenting the medical record for services provided to patients. This position is uniquely structured, with responsibilities split evenly between Coding (50%) and Coding Education (50%) within the Department of Transplant. The position includes a production component, and prior transplant coding experience is highly desirable.

Requirements

• Experience in analyzing medical record documentation against billing documentation guidelines.
• Experience in educating departments and faculty on medical record documentation.
• Ability to perform coding duties.
