About The Position
The Coding Compliance Specialist performs chart audits to provide documentation and analysis of the records reviewed to the rendering provider, Audit Manager, and Director Coding & Audit.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent education
- RHIA, RHIT, or CCS required
- Minimum of 5 years coding experience with ICD-10-CM and CPT Coding
- Proven proficiency in ICD-10-CM Coding, CPT Coding, knowledge and understanding of regulatory requirements
- Experience with record review, data analysis, report preparation and presentation required
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
Nice To Haves
- Associates or Bachelors preferred
- Current AAPC CPC (or equivalent) medical coder certification or RN (registered nurse) is preferred
- At least 1 year auditing, coding compliance experience preferred
- Clinical experience strongly preferred
