About The Position

The Coding Compliance Spec supports revenue cycle goals by working claim edits, denials, and rejections to ensure timely and accurate billing. The role collaborates with other departments to identify and resolve coding, CDM, and other compliance issues affecting reimbursement. It uses ICD-10-CM and PCS, HCPCS (including CPT), and other coding references to ensure accurate coding, and addresses NCCI, OCE, LCD, and other applicable coding edits.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience required.
• High school diploma or GED.
• One or more of the following credentials required: RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CIC, COC, CPC, CCA, CCC, CIRCC, CCVTC, or any AAPC or AHIMA core or specialty credential.

Responsibilities

• Work claim edits, denials, and rejections to support revenue cycle goals and timely, accurate billing.
• Collaborate with other departments to identify and resolve coding, CDM, and other compliance issues affecting reimbursement.
• Use ICD-10-CM and PCS, HCPCS (including CPT), and other coding references to ensure accurate coding.
