About The Position

This role is responsible for safeguarding the precision of the revenue cycle by performing rigorous, ongoing audits to ensure every claim is backed by robust, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation. The Coding Auditor will execute comprehensive record reviews in alignment with the system coding audit plan, maintaining consistent, high-standard output that reflects the commitment to clinical and financial excellence. They will translate complex audit findings into clear, impactful reports for key stakeholders, partnering with teams to develop corrective action plans. Additionally, the role collaborates in the management of the enterprise auditing and monitoring program, proactively addressing high-risk compliance areas to ensure the organization remains resilient, ethical, and fully aligned with regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required.
  • 1 year of experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) credentialed from the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) preferred.
  • Reg Health Info Admnstr credentialed from the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) preferred.
  • Reg Health Info Tech credentialed from the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) preferred.
  • Certified Professional Coder (CPC) credentialed from the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) preferred.
