Coding Auditor

About The Position

This role involves applying knowledge of adult learning principles to teach various types of learning content. The Coding Auditor will work collaboratively with management and subject matter experts to understand desired performance, assess learning needs, and develop appropriate training solutions. Responsibilities include monitoring course participants' progress, conducting post-training evaluations and analyzing results, and updating curricula and exploring new materials for program participants.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required.
  • 1 year of experience required.
  • CPC or CCS-P required with 3-5 years of direct coding experience.
  • Will consider RHIA or RHIT with direct coding experience of 5+ years.
  • 1-2 years of E/M (evaluation and management) auditing as well as strong knowledge of procedural coding highly desired.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) credentialed from the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) preferred.
  • Certified Professional Coder (CPC) credentialed from the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) preferred.
  • Reg Health Info Admnstr credentialed from the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) preferred.
  • Reg Health Info Tech credentialed from the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) preferred.

Responsibilities
