This involves conducting inspections, notifying property owners and occupants of deficiencies, and taking necessary actions to gain compliance. The inspector advises on applicable codes, maintains detailed records of inspections and investigations, prepares reports, and gathers evidence for hearings and court proceedings where they may be required to testify. Additional duties include performing data entry and posting stop work orders for unauthorized work.
