About The Position

Beginning level work inspecting dwellings to secure compliance with laws, ordinances, and regulations governing minimum housing standards. The incumbent in this position with Safety & Permits will be trained to inspect short-term rental facilities and make sure they follow city ordinances and regulations for short-term rentals, safety, sanitation, and neighborhood quality-of-life.

Requirements

• High School graduation or G.E.D. Equivalency Diploma.
• EITHER: Sixty (60) credit hours from an accredited college or university.
• OR: Two (2) years of experience involving heavy public contact, general compliance, investigatory, or enforcement experience.
• Some positions may require a valid driver’s license.
• Prior to appointment, the hiring agency is required to verify education claimed by the applicant to qualify for this classification.
• If selected for hire, applicants must provide original documents of their qualifying credentials to the hiring agency prior to their start date in this job classification.
