JOB SUMMARY The Part‑Time Cocktail Server is responsible for delivering courteous, efficient, and professional beverage service to guests in accordance with Hilton brand standards. This role supports the Food & Beverage department by ensuring a high‑quality guest experience while adhering to all safety, compliance, and operational procedures.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of all State, Federal and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
  • Hold a current Food Handler Card or in the process of being certified
  • Hold a valid TABC license
  • Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
  • Knowledge of the appropriate table settings and service ware.
  • Basic knowledge of the English language sufficient to understand inquiries from customers and communicate simple instructions.
  • Ability to comprehend and apply written product labeling instructions to enable the safe application of products and processes within the hotel.
  • Ability to remember, recite and promote the variety of menu items.
  • Ability to operate beverage equipment, e.g., coffee maker.

Responsibilities

  • Provide prompt, friendly service; present menus; offer recommendations; maintain Hilton service standards.
  • Accurately take and enter orders into the POS system; ensure timely delivery of beverages and food items.
  • Serve cocktails, wine, beer, and specialty beverages following established recipes and presentation guidelines.
  • Verify guest identification; follow state/local alcohol laws and Hilton safety and sanitation policies.
  • Process payments accurately; maintain cash control; reconcile transactions at shift end.
  • Keep service stations, tables, and assigned areas clean and organized.
  • Maintain knowledge of beverage offerings, specials, and promotions.
  • Work with bartenders, servers, and management to ensure smooth operations.
  • Address guest concerns professional and escalate when necessary.
