Status: Non-Exempt Reports to: Restaurant Manager The Multi-Venue Cocktail Server is responsible for delivering elevated beverage service across multiple bar environments, including a martini lounge, rooftop bar, and pool service areas. This role requires adaptability, strong product knowledge, and the ability to provide both refined, high-touch service and efficient, high-volume service depending on the venue. Cocktail Servers must be confident in upselling, knowledgeable in spirits and wine, and capable of creating engaging guest experiences while maintaining speed and accuracy. Success in this role requires strong communication, situational awareness, and the ability to seamlessly adjust service style across different atmospheres and guest expectations.

Requirements

  • Previous serving or cocktail service experience required; high-volume or nightlife experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of spirits, cocktails, and wine fundamentals
  • Proven ability to upsell and drive revenue through guest engagement
  • Excellent communication, multitasking, and organizational skills
  • Ability to remain composed and energetic in fast-paced environments
  • Flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, holidays, and special events
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and carry trays (up to 30 lbs)
  • Valid TABC Certification (or ability to obtain)
  • Valid Food Handler Certification (or ability to obtain)

Responsibilities

  • Provide engaging, attentive, and professional beverage service across all venues
  • Adapt service style to match the environment—refined and anticipatory in lounge settings, energetic and efficient in rooftop and pool environments
  • Build rapport with guests and create memorable, repeatable experiences
  • Maintain a polished, confident presence in all service environments
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, beer, and wine
  • Accurately describe and recommend menu items, including signature cocktails and premium offerings
  • Provide basic wine guidance and pairing suggestions when appropriate
  • Ensure all beverages are delivered accurately, promptly, and to standard
  • Actively practice the art of upselling to enhance the guest experience and increase revenue
  • Promote premium spirits, featured cocktails, bottle service, and venue-specific offerings (e.g., beer buckets, large-format drinks)
  • Drive check averages through confident and natural recommendations
  • Work efficiently within multiple service environments, including tight spaces and high-traffic outdoor areas
  • Maintain awareness of bar and kitchen flow to ensure timely service
  • Manage multiple tables or service zones while maintaining accuracy and organization
  • Handle POS transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Provide service across lounge, rooftop, and pool venues based on business needs
  • Adjust pace, tone, and approach based on volume and concept
  • Support large parties, events, and high-volume service periods
  • Navigate indoor and outdoor environments, including exposure to weather conditions
  • Work closely with bartenders, barbacks, runners, and leadership to ensure seamless service
  • Assist with setup, breakdown, and side work across venues
  • Maintain a positive, team-oriented, and professional attitude
