About The Position

The National is hiring for a Cocktail Server. This role focuses on creating an exceptional beverage service experience for guests, making them feel welcomed, valued, and cared for. The position requires knowledge of cocktails, wine, and other beverages to provide personalized service, emphasizing polished service, attention to detail, and genuine hospitality. Teamwork between Cocktail Servers, Bartenders, and leadership is essential for successful service, with every interaction being an opportunity to create an UNMATCHED MOMENT.

Requirements

Previous cocktail serving or bartending experience preferred.
Previous restaurant, bar, hotel, or hospitality experience preferred.
Knowledge of cocktails, wine, beer, and other alcoholic beverages.
Ability to explain beverage offerings and make appropriate recommendations to guests.
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
Ability to accurately operate a point-of-sale system.
Ability to accurately process cash and credit card transactions.
Ability to follow Coury Hospitality Cash Handling Policy and all applicable service standards.
Must be able to obtain and maintain an Oklahoma State ABLE License.
Ability to communicate effectively with guests, coworkers, and leadership.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to stand and move throughout the bar, lounge, and dining areas for extended periods.
Ability to push, pull, bend, stoop, reach, and move throughout the shift.
Ability to repeatedly lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds.
Ability to safely carry food, beverages, trays, glassware, and service equipment.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent guest interaction and changing priorities.
Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the service area.
Ability to safely handle glassware, food, beverages, and other service equipment.
Ability to maintain a polished, professional appearance and adhere to all grooming and uniform standards.

Responsibilities

Welcoming guests and providing attentive, engaging, and elevated service in a fast-paced bar and lounge environment.
Accurately taking and processing guest food and beverage orders through the appropriate point-of-sale system.
Serving cocktails, wine, beer, non-alcoholic beverages, and food with confidence and care.
Using knowledge of cocktails, wine, and other beverages to answer guest questions and provide thoughtful recommendations.
Communicating closely with Bartenders, support Curators, and Management to ensure smooth and timely service.
Maintaining clean, organized, and guest-ready tables and service areas throughout the shift.
Bussing and resetting tables and keeping chairs, floors, and surrounding areas clean and polished.
Completing assigned side work and replenishing service areas as needed.
Operating the point-of-sale system accurately and efficiently.
Handling cash and credit card transactions according to Coury Hospitality cash-handling procedures.
Reviewing checks carefully, ensuring accuracy, and obtaining the appropriate guest or Host signature when required.
Anticipating guest needs and responding promptly and professionally to questions or service concerns.
Maintaining a polished, professional presence while creating a welcoming and energetic atmosphere.
