Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in COBOL development and mainframe systems.
  • Proven proficiency in COBOL, JCL, Easytrieve, VSAM, and DB2.
  • Experienced with File-AID, TSO/ISPF, Abend-AID, and Changeman for version control and deployment.
  • Skilled in mainframe scheduling tools for job automation and batch processing.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Adept at managing multiple concurrent projects independently.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications (OFSAA).
  • Familiarity with ZEKE/ZENA scheduling tools.
  • Background in finance or financial data structures.
  • Exposure to financial and regulatory reporting processes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize COBOL programs and JCL scripts for large-scale data processing and reporting.
  • Execute, manage, and troubleshoot batch job execution with JCL.
  • Analyze complex business requirements and transform them into robust technical solutions.
  • Collaborate with business partners, analysts, QA, and fellow developers to ensure data accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Lead testing cycles, perform performance tuning, and contribute to code reviews.
  • Document code changes and maintain clear technical documentation.
  • Support production deployments and resolve incidents efficiently.
  • Adhere to established development standards and best practices.
