About The Position
We are hiring an experienced Wood Finisher / Coatings Technician for a growing millwork shop serving custom residential and commercial projects in the Austin area. This is a temp-to-perm position with a pay rate of $22-$25/hr DOE, Monday-Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Requirements
- 2+ years of wood finishing, cabinet finishing, or spray finishing experience
- Experience with stains, lacquer, and spray equipment
- Strong attention to detail and color matching
- Reliable work ethic and ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Nice To Haves
- Millwork or cabinetry experience
- Familiarity with Sherwin-Williams, M.L. Campbell, ILVA, or similar products
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
Responsibilities
- Spray stains, sealers, lacquer, and topcoats on cabinetry and millwork
- Match colors and finishes to samples and specifications
- Operate HVLP and conventional spray equipment
- Prep, mix, and apply wood finishing products
- Ensure consistent quality and finish standards
