Requirements

HS Diploma with 2-5 years experience in a chemical manufacturing environment.
Knowledge and Experience handling hazardous chemicals.
Knowledge of Problem Solving Techniques.
Good verbal communication and written skills.
Team Spirit.
Knowledge of Statistical Process Control.
Mechanically Inclined.
Able to lift above head, bending, climbing (Stairs / Ladders).
Good Computer Skills (Spreadsheets, Word Processing, etc).

Nice To Haves

Chemical Process Tech Degree or Certification would be accepted in place of Experience.

Responsibilities

Fully participate in and support the Mersen Quality System.
Responsible for the proper operation of High Temperature Vacuum CVD Reactors.
Follow Established Safety Practices.
Assist with developing, new and comprehensive operating instructions as well as the safe practices.
Prepare Reactors (Clean, Load/Unload, Troubleshoot, and Develop Fixtures).
Prepare Product (Clean, Hone, Visual Inspection, etc.).
Work with hazardous chemicals – Using appropriate PPE.
Monitor Processes, record process parameters, note issues and define corrective measures when necessary.
Define and develop operating parameters based on product type and configuration.
Work with improvement projects – Process, Quality, Safety.
Housekeeping.
Operate Lift Truck.
Perform general maintenance on equipment (Minor Electrical, Computer Interface, Mechanical).
Data Acquisition / Data Entry.
