About The Position

This role involves the application of Pyrocrete 341 cementitious fireproofing material according to manufacturer and project specifications. The position requires the setup, operation, and maintenance of industrial spray equipment, pumps, and mixers. Responsibilities include measuring wet and dry film thickness, maintaining material and equipment inventory, performing quality control inspections, ensuring a clean and safe work environment, reviewing project specifications, and accurately recording work details. The job is performed on construction job sites and may require working in various weather conditions, confined spaces, or elevated areas. Personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times, and flexibility for extended hours or weekend work is necessary. Employment is on an "at-will" basis.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
1+ years of experience in industrial cementitious fireproofing application.
Competency operating and troubleshooting fireproofing pumps and spray nozzles.
Strong attention to detail with a focus on achieving quality results.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with team members and supervisors.
Ability to lift heavy materials, work in various weather conditions, and in confined spaces.
Must be able to wear and properly utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to work or visit within areas where it is required. This includes hard hat, safety glasses/spoggles, respirators, ear plugs, steel toed shoes, or other protective equipment as required by the work performed and location the work is being done.

Responsibilities

Mix, pump, and spray Pyrocrete 341 cementitious fireproofing material according to manufacturer and project specifications.
Set up, operate, and maintain industrial spray equipment, pumps, and mixers.
Measure wet and dry film thickness to ensure application meets specific fire-rating thickness requirements.
Maintain a detailed inventory of materials and equipment, ensuring timely orders for project completion.
Perform thorough quality control inspections during and after application to ensure adherence to safety regulations and project specifications.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, ensuring all safety guidelines are followed.
Review and comply with project specifications, blueprints, and guidelines to ensure proper application.
Record work hours, materials used, and project details accurately.
