We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Coating Technician Apprentice to support our extrusion department. This role assists with surface preparation, coating processes, and general shop support to ensure quality and efficiency in production.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent

- Strong attention to detail and work ethic
- Dependable and punctual with good time management
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in a shop/manufacturing environment
- Mechanical aptitude and safety awareness
- Self-motivated with ability and desire to learn new skills
- Career-minded individual who can grow in a stable work environment
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in sandblasting, painting, coating, or manufacturing environment a plus
Responsibilities
- Perform sandblasting of extrusion components to prepare surfaces for coating
- Assist with applying coatings, finishes, and protective materials per specifications
- Clean, mask, and prep parts prior to blasting and coating
- Inspect parts for quality, ensuring proper surface finish and coating application
- Maintain and clean sandblasting and coating equipment
- Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE
- Support the extrusion team with general shop tasks and material handling
- Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant with company standards.
