About The Position

Ensures policies, procedures, and all activities pertaining to this position are carried out to support BRS goals and objectives at the Continuous Galvanizing Line on their respective crew assignments.

Requirements

• Quality, detail, and safety oriented; mechanically inclined and self-motivated
• Good insight to team dynamics with strong verbal communication skills and computer literate
• Ability to work without direct supervision
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Strong understanding of Steel Mill operation

Nice To Haves

• college degree a plus
• Galvanizing experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Ensure Safety, Environmental, Quality requirements and “where applicable” ResponsibleSteel requirements are followed.
• Ensure good housekeeping practices are carried out in job areas and grounds.
• Effectively communicate with the CGL 2 Operations and other departments to ensure line up time, process control and improvements.
• Load the CGL line, prep coils and weld coils in accordance with proper schedules.
• Assist team members with daily operations as needed while ensuring crew safety.
