About The Position

This hourly adjunct position (~10 hrs / week) provides capacity support and technical expertise to advance efforts of NH Sea Grant (NHSG) staff in coastal resilience. This role supports NHSG staff as they work with partners on the NH Coastal Flood Risk Summary update and other resilience-related projects. The position aims to help bridge short, medium, and long-term tasks to further coastal resilience in New Hampshire.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree
  • Professional work experience coordinating and leading coastal resilience efforts in New Hampshire.

Responsibilities

  • Support completion of the NH Coastal Flood Risk Summary (70%): In collaboration with NHSG staff and partners, support development of outreach deliverables related to the NH Coastal Flood Risk Summary, Part I: Science. Contribute to development of Part II: Guidance content. Support preparation for and implementation of Steering Committee and Guidance Team meetings. Complete grant reporting requirements.
  • Provide technical assistance and capacity for NH Sea Grant staff (30%): Provide technical assistance advice to NHSG staff on best practices for coastal resilience planning and capacity building. Provide advice and support to NH Sea Grant staff assuming larger roles with the NH Coastal Adaptation Workgroup (CAW). Support NHSG leadership and staff in staffing / capacity planning.
