About The Position

Concord Academy is seeking a Coach to plan, organize, and conduct practices that develop athletes' skills and knowledge of the sport. The coach will prepare student-athletes for competition through instruction, conditioning, and strategic planning, while fostering a positive team culture that emphasizes respect, integrity, discipline, and sportsmanship. Responsibilities include supervising student-athletes during all team activities, communicating effectively with students, parents, school administration, and athletic staff, promoting student safety and proper use of athletic equipment, and serving as a positive role model. Concord Academy coaches are expected to exemplify the school's mission and values by demonstrating a personal commitment to Christian values, modeling Christ-like character, supporting the spiritual development of student-athletes, integrating faith, character development, and sportsmanship into the athletic program, encouraging student-athletes to pursue excellence while honoring God, and representing Concord Academy with professionalism, integrity, and a servant's heart.

Requirements

High school diploma required
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to motivate and mentor students from diverse backgrounds.

Nice To Haves

college degree preferred
Previous coaching and/or playing experience in the assigned sport preferred.

Serve as a positive role model for students both on and off the field/court.
Demonstrate a personal commitment to Christian values and the mission of Concord Academy.
Model Christ-like character and behavior in interactions with students, parents, officials, and staff.
Support the spiritual development of student-athletes through mentorship, encouragement, and prayer when appropriate.
Integrate faith, character development, and sportsmanship into all aspects of the athletic program.
Encourage student-athletes to pursue excellence while honoring God through their attitudes, effort, and conduct.
Represent Concord Academy with professionalism, integrity, and a servant's heart both on and off campus.
