About The Position

SNV Netherlands Development Organisation is seeking to establish a roster of pre-qualified experts to provide targeted coaching, sector advisory services, and business consulting support to innovative small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Vietnam. These SMEs are developing and deploying innovative solutions for the energy transition and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction, operating in sectors such as renewable energy, energy efficiency, bioenergy, low-emission transport, and digitalization. The support aims to complement grant funding and strengthen implementation capacity. Assignments may involve short-term technical assistance, strategic business advisory, and ongoing coaching focused on technical implementation, business growth, operational strengthening, investment readiness, and leadership support. SMEs may receive up to 15 hours of support over a 12-month period, with assignments delivered virtually and/or in-person between July 2026 and December 2027. Inclusion in the roster does not guarantee a minimum level of engagement.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Demonstrated experience working with SMEs, start-ups, or growth-stage companies.
  • Experience providing coaching, advisory, or technical assistance services.
  • Familiarity with the Vietnam and/or Southeast Asia / Asia Pacific (APAC) market is required.
  • Professional working proficiency in English.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in relevant technical, business, financial, legal, environmental, or related fields.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant professional certifications or coaching certifications are an advantage.
  • Fluency in Vietnamese is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Provide sectoral and technical guidance to support technology validation, deployment readiness, commercialisation, and scale-up in the clean energy and climate sector.
  • Provide targeted, specialised business support requiring specific expertise and deliverable-oriented assignments.
  • Support founders and leadership teams in strengthening leadership, communication, strategic decision-making, and organisational effectiveness.
  • Deliver assignments virtually and/or in-person.
  • Focus on areas such as technical implementation, business growth, operational strengthening, investment readiness, and leadership support.
