COACH COUNSELOR (PRN) part-time
About The Position

Rite of Passage Team is hiring for a Part-time Coach Counselor at The Cypress Creek Juvenile Correction Center in Lecanto, FL. Cypress Creek is a max security residential program for at-risk male youth. Through our trained programming for staff, we promote a normalized high school experience, offer a safe environment and provide opportunities for positive change, as well as providing unlimited potential for achievement and growth for students and staff. Requirements
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug, physical, and TB test
- Must meet the requirements to become an ROP eligible driver, including having a valid Driver's License

- Prior experience in similar facilities
- Military training
- Relevant education
Responsibilities
- Provides in person safety and security around-the-clock.
- Provide for the physical, personal and health needs of each youth through individual mentoring and skill development.
- Provide an atmosphere that is supportive of the youth’s needs.
- Monitor and document behaviors and activities.
- Participate and assist with educational, social, athletic and recreational activities.
- Collaborate with other professional staff to establish and meet the goals of each youth's treatment plan.
