About The Position

AJATC is a secure residential program for at-risk male and female youth, located on 110 acres just outside of Little Rock, AR. Through our trained programming for staff, AJATC promotes a normalized high school experience, offers a safe environment and provides opportunities for positive change, as well as providing the unlimited potential for achievement and growth for students and staff. Our campus features residential student dormitories, on-site school and library, vocational training program, chapel, gymnasium, medical and an outdoor recreation area. Requirements

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
Be at least 21 years of age
Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug, physical, and TB test
Be able to pass a search of the child and adult abuse central registry

Nice To Haves

Prior experience is a PLUS, but not required

Responsibilities

Maintaining safety and security at the facility by monitoring the Control Desk entrance.
Operating the metal detector.
Screening all individuals entering the building.
Conducting searches for contraband in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
Ensuring proper entry and exit procedures are followed.
Maintaining visitor and security documentation.
Remaining alert to any potential safety concerns while providing professional and respectful communication to staff, visitors, vendors, and residents.
Assisting with Coach Counselor responsibilities throughout the facility, including resident supervision, movement, and support of daily operations, when activity at the Control Desk is limited.
