About The Position

SYSTRA Canada is looking for Co-op Students to support a new Rail & Transit project in Hamilton for a period of 12-16 months. SYSTRA Canada is part of the SYSTRA group, an international consulting and engineering group, a world leader in the design of transport infrastructures. SYSTRA Canada is an engineering and consulting firm whose primary focus is to offer transportation solutions, whether for passengers or goods: feasibility studies of building a new railway line, increasing the capacity of the existing infrastructure, privatization of a railway.

Requirements

• The availability to report to the Project office 5 days a week
• Ability to attend occasional site visits and regional trips (i.e. Waterloo).
• Strong communication skills.
• A curiosity and passion to develop in the Rail Transit space.

Nice To Haves

• Any existing Transit or construction experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Support designated lead with delivery of deliverables.
• Attend and minute (where applicable) discipline specific meetings.
• Manage schedule and tasks, following up with relevant staff as needed.
• Coordinate across disciplines to maintain focus on high risk items to project.
• Provide administrative support and reporting as required by management.
• Support scheduling exercises.
• Support cost/estimating exercises.
