About The Position

Gain experience and exposure to practical engineering applications within the utility industry. Individual normally works under close supervision and will perform a variety of functions and work on various projects, working with engineers and engineering associates. Assist full Design personnel in the following activities: Interface with external Customers to provide electric service. Design electric distribution facilities and perform various engineering studies using computer based systems. Work as part of a cross-function Team to meet the needs of Customers. Assist in outage restoration efforts as needed. Work is approximately 50% in office and 50% out of office, year around. Work assignment complexity and responsibility grows with tenure of student employees. Performs other duties as directed by management.

Requirements

  • Seeking Electrical, Mechanical, and Civil engineering majors.
  • Must be currently enrolled in school full-time, pursuing a bachelor’s degree.
  • Must be enrolled in sophomore year or beyond.
  • Cumulative GPA 2.8 or above is required (on a 4.0 scale).
  • Familiar with various databases, as well as Windows environment and Microsoft toolkit (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Must have good communication and Customer Service skills.
  • Authorization to work in the United States is a precondition to employment in this position.
