About The Position

This is a 6-month co-op position with the AdvanSix Frankford Environmental Group, running from September 22nd through March 26th, 2027. The Environmental co-op will support the Environmental department at the A6 Frankford Plant in ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and Environmental regulations. The co-op will be an active member of the team, participating in ongoing projects and initiatives for process improvement. Environmental engineers and managers will provide training and mentorship throughout the co-op term. The successful candidate will gain valuable experience in working with Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations, rapid problem-solving and root cause analysis, and operating within an industrial environment alongside various engineering, operations, maintenance, and contract personnel. They will also gain detailed knowledge of chemical industrial plant operations, including equipment like distillation columns, heat exchangers, pumps, scrubbers, and thermal/catalytic oxidizers. Additionally, they will learn about computer-based systems for managing laboratory data, incident communication, investigations, plant communications, purchase orders, and maintenance work orders, as well as RC140001 management systems, life-critical permitting with field audits, process hazard analysis under process safety management, and EPA compliance regulations affecting a chemical plant's daily operations. Co-ops demonstrating strong organizational skills, communication skills, work ethic, professionalism, and maturity may be offered greater opportunities within the organization during their term.
