About The Position

Metrolinx is seeking two (2) Co-op Students for their Commercial Management department within the Legal division. The students will work with internal stakeholders to provide analytical support in completing tasks and deliverables. Metrolinx is an agency of the Government of Ontario, focused on connecting communities across the Greater Golden Horseshoe by operating transit services and building new rapid transit infrastructure.

Requirements

• Must be enrolled in a full-time accredited co-op program in order to be considered for this position.
• Must be at least 15 years of age before starting employment.
• Enrolled in Business Administration or similar program at a post-secondary institution.
• Ability to analyze information and interpret complex issues.
• Capacity for problem-solving, taking initiative, and proactively addressing issues, working within a team environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate across various departments and levels of the organization.
• Competence in software such as Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience working within a business environment is preferred.
• Exposure to Power BI would be an asset.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day activities for all Oracle Requisitions and Invoice Management to meet established objectives and prepare detailed and timely reports for approval.
• Work with internal and external stakeholders to collect data, respond to queries and exchange information.
• Support and coordinate requirements and information for Purchase Requisitions/Purchase Orders and other supporting activities.
• Support information flow across projects with Metrolinx teams, by participating in meetings and supporting coordination activities.
• Provide assistance and support to staff in a variety of areas, including gathering, inputting, organizing, and interpreting data for reports/presentations/meetings/projects.
