Co-op Researcher - Physical AI
About The Position
Huawei Canada has an immediate Co-op opening for a Researcher. The Noah’s Ark lab, founded in 2012, is a prominent research organization with notable achievements in academia and industry. The lab’s mission focuses on advancing artificial intelligence and related fields to benefit the company and society. Driven by impactful, long-term projects, the aim is to enhance state-of-the-art research while integrating innovations into the company's products and services, including Next Generation Foundation Model, Agentic Models, Physical AI and Reinforcement Learning. This role will participate in the embodied AI research project, implement algorithms for proposed models and applications, deploy into internal product, and work closely with researchers in the team. The co-op will also be responsible for keeping up-to-date on selected areas of ML and writing insight reports and technical reports.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in third year Bachelor or Master’s in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Good knowledge of Deep Learning (DL) components (training, regularization, generalization).
- Strong coding skills in Python.
- Experience with coding in Pytorch.
- Good verbal & written communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in training or inference using Large Language Models (LLMs) is an asset.
- Knowledge and experience in robotics is an asset.
Responsibilities
