About The Position

Requirements

  • College sophomore or above working towards a related degree or be currently enrolled in or attending trade school. If you are a recent graduate, you must be within 1 year of your graduation date.
  • No experience required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prepare and give presentations.
  • Organized and detail oriented.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to communicate with employees and various business contacts in a professional and courteous manner.

Responsibilities

  • Assist project managers with daily tasks relating to construction projects
  • Construction monitoring tasks including interpretation of applicable construction drawings
  • Assist with the review of plans and specifications and prepare a checklist of contract features which require periodic attention and list items the sub-contractor must submit for approval prior to the start of the work
  • Assist with cost estimates as needed
  • Ensure maintenance of accurate records
  • Assist with preparing statements of work, submittals, change management, and necessary daily and weekly reporting
  • Promote safety in construction operations and ensure compliance with safety requirements
  • Inspect equipment, material, workmanship, and finished construction
  • Check the progress of work in the field
  • Observe work in progress to ensure that procedures are followed and materials used conform to specifications
  • Understand and comply with the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other industry-specific professional and ethical conduct standards, if applicable
