About The Position

The EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety) Co-op is an intern position supporting safety and environmental programs within an aerospace manufacturing facility. This role provides hands-on experience in a highly regulated, production-focused environment, where the student will assist in promoting safe work practices, maintaining compliance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.

Requirements

  • Current student pursuing a bachelor’s or a related field
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex problems and develop innovative solutions
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills with a results-driven mindset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter possessing a high level of integrity
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite, such as Excel, Word, etc.
  • Must be reliable, flexible, and punctual
  • Highly adaptable to working in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
  • Availability to work 16+ hours per week during the internship period

Responsibilities

  • Ensure adherence to company EHS standards and applicable regulations
  • Collect and analyze safety and environmental data for reporting purposes
  • Identify potential hazards and recommend mitigation strategies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve workplace safety
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of inspections, incidents, and training
  • Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility across the organization
  • Learn core EHS activities, key stakeholders, and internal processes (compliance, hazard ID, reporting)
  • Lead 1–2 EHS process improvement projects (e.g., 6S, SDS digitization, process streamlining)
  • Support EHS projects from planning to completion, coordinating stakeholders and ensuring compliance
