About The Position

Landis+Gyr is a global energy technology leader focused on making energy more intelligent, resilient, and sustainable. The Co-op Program is designed to blend classroom learning with hands-on experience, offering students the opportunity to work with industry experts, contribute to real projects, and explore their potential in a dynamic environment. This specific co-op role focuses on Component Engineering and Component Test Engineering duties, providing exposure to reliability engineering, material science, electrical engineering, test engineering, hardware development, quality systems, and regulatory compliance. The program requires students to be enrolled in an undergraduate program, have an alternating semester schedule with a total of three semester rotations before graduation, and is a paid position. Local candidates are preferred due to the lack of housing assistance. The position is located in Alpharetta, GA, with an in-office, Monday-Friday schedule of approximately 40 hours per week. The first semester is January 2027 – April 2027.

Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in an undergraduate program.
  • Masters students will not be considered.
  • Must be able to work 3 semester rotations total before graduation.
  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Expected graduation date of 2027 or later.
  • Curious, motivated, and eager to learn.
  • A team player who thrives in collaborative environments.

Responsibilities

  • Assist and perform Component Engineering and Component Test Engineering duties.
  • Learn aspects of reliability engineering, material science, electrical engineering, test engineering, component engineering, hardware development, quality systems, and regulatory compliance.
  • Support Engineering Change Requests (sustaining engineering).
  • Support component cost reductions (cost and value engineering).
  • Create component test fixtures, obtain samples, and perform testing (cost and value engineering).
