About The Position

Within Asset Management’s (“AM”) Compliance, Risk, and Business Operations (“CRBO”) organization, the Asset Management Business & Data Operations (“AMBDO”) team serves as a central utility to drive operational excellence and strategic alignment by delivering cross-advisor operational support, enhancing data quality routines & processes, and implementing advanced data acquisition capabilities. We enable efficient, data-driven decision-making, empowering investment teams to achieve asset management’s strategic priorities with precision and impact. In partnership with data governance and strategy teams, the overall mission is to promote a data-driven culture within Asset Management and drive a “One-AM” approach to data investment and priorities. The team is comprised of a diverse set of business and technology professionals who work collectively with our business partners to align on strategic solutions to business and data operational challenges across asset management. As an Co-Op analyst within our Alternative Data Operations team, you will partner with business and technology professionals to enable the implementation of new technologies, techniques, and datasets consumed by Investment Professionals in generating alpha for our investment products and customers. This role is also valuable in helping to evolve a best-in-class alternative data platform. The role is ideal for someone with a data-driven mindset, is technically proficient, possess Python/R coding and data skills, understands and appreciates the sensitivity to high quality data in an investment lifecycle, and can operate effectively as part of an accelerated development team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a STEM related field (e.g. Math, Sciences, Engineering, Computer Science, etc.)
  • Experience with, or exposure to, enterprise data quality monitoring tools, leveraging analytics to drive business strategy
  • Experience in identifying anomalies and patterns in data
  • Deep experience in data science, SQL, and Python/R skills
  • Familiarity with web scraping techniques
  • Knowledge of data pipelines, data lineage, data mapping, and data stores
  • Strong desire to work with, and process, unstructured/alternative data sets
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to bridge business and technology
  • Problem-solver with an action-oriented mindset
  • Ability to work across and within a highly-matrixed organization to drive valuable outcomes
