About The Position

We are seeking a Co-Occurring Therapist to join our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team supporting Carbon, Monroe, and Pike Counties. Our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) model supports individuals with serious mental illnesses who may not have experienced success or haven't found effective support within traditional outpatient programs. Requirements

  • Master's degree in human services/related field
  • 2 to 3 years of experience working with individuals with co-occurring substance abuse/mental health disorders required.
  • Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) or CAADC Certification is REQUIRED.

  • 2 to 3 years of experience working with individuals with co-occurring substance abuse/mental health disorders preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, primary care providers, and ACT team members to support integrated treatment planning for individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, including coordination of medical, psychiatric, and community-based care.
  • Provide ongoing counseling, education, and clinical support to individuals and families, including psychoeducation on substance use disorders, participation in treatment planning, and assistance with linking to community resources and services.
  • Deliver community-based ACT services, including home visits and field-based support, while contributing to clinical documentation, staff meetings, and, when needed, court-related reports or testimony.
