About The Position

Set of X is hiring a CNO Test Engineer to develop and execute operational testing for embedded systems. The role involves creating test scenarios and artifacts, developing Python-based test automation, communicating progress and issues to technical teams, management, and customers, and collaborating across organizations to verify system requirements. An active clearance is required; the position specifically requires TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or a related field.
5 to 7 years of relevant work experience.
Development experience using Python, Ruby, or JavaScript.
Experience working with and testing embedded systems.
Knowledge of networks and IP subnets/routing.
Ability to configure network interfaces and set IP addresses and subnets.
Familiarity with signal analysis tools such as Wireshark.
Familiarity with the Linux operating system.
An active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Nice To Haves

Development experience using SmartBear.
Familiarity with SVN or GIT version control systems and an understanding of basic Configuration Management principles.
Experience using the Atlassian suite.

Responsibilities

Develop operational test scenarios and produce test artifacts that provide suggestions for improvements to the development team.
Develop test automation scripts using Python to improve performance testing and help reduce time to market.
Communicate effectively with the technical team, management, and customer to keep them informed of progress, plans, and potential problems.
Collaborate with other organizations and teams to thoroughly exercise the system and verify that requirements are satisfied.
