About The Position

The selected candidate will serve as a Computer Network Operations (CNO) Developer supporting a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. This role involves designing, developing, prototyping, and integrating software solutions that directly support operational objectives. The candidate will work closely with operators, analysts, and engineering teams to integrate tools into operational workflows and deliver capabilities that meet mission constraints. This position requires hands-on development across the full software lifecycle, with an emphasis on rapid iteration and deployment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant professional experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (or additional experience in lieu of degree), or Master’s degree with relevant experience
  • Proficiency in software development using C, C++, and Python
  • Experience working in Unix-based environments
  • Strong understanding of network programming concepts
  • Experience using version control systems (e.g., Git, Subversion)
  • Experience with collaboration and issue-tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
  • Active TS/SCI with polygraph required
  • Work to be performed on-site in a secure environment
  • Candidates must maintain an active security clearance
  • U.S. citizenship may be required based on contract requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with vulnerability research and exploit development
  • Experience reverse engineering Linux or embedded systems
  • Familiarity with additional programming languages (e.g., Rust, Go, Bash, Perl, Assembly, PHP)
  • Experience supporting production CNO capabilities and operational environments

Responsibilities

  • Execute the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment
  • Design, develop, and maintain software solutions supporting mission requirements
  • Build prototypes to validate understanding of operational needs and constraints
  • Collaborate directly with end users to troubleshoot issues and rapidly develop solutions
  • Integrate tools and capabilities into operational workflows
  • Support deployed systems and augment existing toolsets as needed
  • Develop and modify software systems to support mission objectives
  • Produce deployable tools that operate effectively within operational constraints
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of existing capabilities
