About The Position

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented CNO Developer to join our team in Annapolis Junction, MD. This role involves developing custom cyberspace capabilities based on operational requirements and vulnerability research findings. The developer will write, test, and maintain code for operational tools, exploits, post-exploitation frameworks, and automation systems, implementing operational security (OPSEC) controls in capability design including anti-analysis, evasion, and attribution management. Collaboration with vulnerability researchers to weaponize discovered vulnerabilities into operational capabilities and integrate them with existing operational infrastructure, data pipelines, and deployment systems is key. The role also includes conducting unit testing, integration testing, and operational validation of developed capabilities, and working with infrastructure developers to ensure reliable deployment across cloud and traditional environments. Refactoring and maintaining legacy capabilities to address target environment changes and operational feedback, as well as documenting capability functionality, usage, limitations, and OPSEC considerations for operators, are also responsibilities. Participation in operational readiness exercises and capability demonstrations is expected.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 4+yrs experience OR High School and 8+ yrs experience OR Associates and 6+ yrs OR experience OR Master's and 2+ yrs experience OR PhD and 0+ yrs of progressively responsible experience.
  • 3+ years software development experience, preferably in offensive / defensive cyberspace operations
  • Proficiency in compiled languages (C, C++, Rust, or Go)
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash)
  • Familiarity with operational security considerations in capability development (evasion, anti-forensics, attribution)
  • An active TS/SCI with Polygraph is required.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated experience developing capabilities for Windows and Linux target environments
  • Understanding of exploitation techniques and post-exploitation workflows
  • Experience developing capabilities for MacOS, mobile (iOS, Android), or embedded platforms
  • Knowledge of containerization and capability packaging (Docker)
  • Understanding of encryption protocols and cryptographic implementations
  • Experience with cross-platform development and build systems (CMake, Makefile)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent experience).
  • Previous work supporting CNO / OC missions
