About The Position

As a CNO Engineer on the SAS Mobile team, you’ll play a critical role designing, developing, and deploying tools that enhance mission’s ability to operate and defend across cyber and communications domains.
This position is ideal for engineers who thrive in challenging environments where innovation, precision, and impact intersect.

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant software development experience in C or comparable low-level languages (degree can substitute for years of experience)
• 3+ years developing cybersecurity or CNO-specific software solutions.
• Demonstrated experience with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth technologies.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
• Strong understanding of secure software development principles and system-level programming.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with mobile or embedded development environments.
• Experience with network protocol analysis and reverse engineering tools.
• Knowledge of RF technologies, signal analysis, or low-level communication stacks.
• Ability to work effectively in a classified, mission-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize complex software systems using C and related technologies.
• Engineer and integrate advanced features focused on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth communication protocols.
• Conduct reverse engineering and vulnerability analysis to enhance system resilience and mission effectiveness.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity and CNO specialists to design secure, mission-ready software solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, documentation, and continuous integration activities to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Contribute to research and prototyping efforts for next-generation mobile and embedded systems.
