We provide custom machining throughout the United States and the world. D’Wayne Cook, Owner, President and Engineer, employs a highly qualified technical staff of Machinists, Programmers, and Engineers who review drawings and specifications and consult with customers to pinpoint opportunities for better value and suggest alternatives. As a result, MBK can achieve the optimal solution for each job. In addition to engineering support, fully trained machinists work diligently to meet the tightest schedules and ensure on-time delivery. MBK Machine also offers third party inspection services. We are seeking a CNC Lead Machinist to join our team on our weekend shift. You will work 36 hours (Friday- Sunday), get paid for 40 hours (4 bonus hours) and enjoy 4 days off in the week! You will help oversee operational activities and ensure excellent quality control as well as oversee the other 4 weekend employees.

Requirements

Previous experience in shop operations or other related fields
Familiarity with machine shop and quality lab tools and equipment
Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
Ability to handle physical workload
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

Oversee other weekend shift employees
Job preparation including building tools, fixturing, material prep, loading work/tool offsets, etc. according to programmer specifications
Coordinate with programmers on job progress & potential improvements
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely fashion
Load and unload equipment and materials
Provide innovative solutions to improve shop efficiency
Conduct routine preventive maintenance on the shop floor
Log and record readings for machined parts
