About The Position

This is a full-time apprenticeship program designed to provide apprentices with an education and advanced skill sets that meet the specific needs of the LMT Onsrud CNC Tool and Cutter Grinder Program. The program combines job-related college credit courses with structured on-the-job learning experiences.

Requirements

• Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and measurement skills.
• Ability to stand or walk throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn quickly.
• Attention to detail.
• Team player.
• Reliable.
• Training in assigned shifts throughout apprenticeship.
• High School Graduate or GED.

Nice To Haves

• Prior machining experience or exposure is a plus.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete instruction programs combining job related college credit courses with structured on-the-job learning experiences.
• Learn to setup and run CNC grinding machines (Anca, Walter, Saacke).
• Spend part of each day on the job training and attending assigned college courses.
• Maintain academic and attendance requirements of the Apprenticeship Program.
• Work under the Trainer’s and Supervisor’s guidance.
• Participate in regular goals and reviews at 30 days, 45 days, and according to assigned goals.
