Oversee the manufacturing of metal parts according to work instructions and best practices. This role involves performing adjustments to machine settings, tools, and times, analyzing part measurements, and ensuring production and quality output for a specified area. The technician will read blueprints, review measurement reports, and use precision measurement equipment. Responsibilities also include re-working parts, understanding G&M code functions, fixturing, work-holding principles, and troubleshooting machine errors, tooling errors, and programming errors. The role requires ensuring documentation accuracy, performing booking operations, de-burring parts with hand tools, conducting visual inspections, and training operators on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and visual inspection details. The technician will also help with workflow by identifying bottlenecks, communicating status, maintaining safety and cleanliness, supporting production plans, and communicating potential issues to supervisors and other technicians. Additionally, the role supports Lean Manufacturing activities and leads a team of Machine Operators in the assigned area regarding technical and operational topics.
