OGS Machining is seeking a full-time CNC Swiss Setup/Operator for the night shift at its CNC job shop. The shop operates four ten-hour days, Monday through Thursday, from 3:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m., with occasional Friday overtime as needed. It is a medium-volume production shop, with typical machining orders of 100–500 pieces. Approximately 75% of jobs are made from bar stock and the remainder from castings or billet. Parts are small enough to be held by hand, and do not require cranes or material-handling equipment. Most CNC turning equipment is less than four years old and state-of-the-art. The position primarily involves setting up and operating Star CNC Swiss-type automatic lathes with Fanuc controls. The employer seeks a machinist with at least five years of experience independently setting up and operating CNC Swiss lathes. The role also includes maintaining production quality, documenting program and process changes, sharing expertise with the Swiss department, maintaining shop equipment, and communicating issues to day-shift personnel.
