About The Position
This role involves setting up and operating CNC swiss lathe machines to fabricate production parts. The operator will be responsible for troubleshooting machine performance, ensuring parts meet specifications, making necessary adjustments to tools and offsets, and reading blueprints. The position also requires the safe loading and unloading of machines, performing daily cleaning and maintenance, and adhering to all safety procedures and quality policies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 3 years operating experience in CNC swiss lathe machining, Tsugami, Star, or Citizen machines
- Experience holding tight tolerances.
- Effectively communicate and understand job instructions both verbal and written
- Problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail with precision equipment and products
- Ability to perform basic mathematical computations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Nice To Haves
- Tech school training preferred.
Responsibilities
- Setup and operate CNC swiss lathe machines.
- Trouble shoot and diagnose machine performance and ensure produced parts meet specification.
- Make appropriate offsets and adjust tools.
- Read and interpret blueprints.
- Properly use calipers, verniers, and thread gauges.
- Properly and safely load and unload machines.
- Perform daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on machines.
- Perform all tasks in a safe and responsible manner.
- Utilize and abide by all safety procedures.
- Comply with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions.
