About The Position

We have been hired to help a client find a hands-on CNC Supervisor for 2nd – Shift operations. This role is ideal for a working leader who is actively involved in CNC programming, machine set-ups, and troubleshooting while overseeing shop floor productivity. The position requires a strong technical background and the ability to lead by example in a fast-paced machining environment. No relocation assistance provided. Must be within a commutable distance to Ossining, NY.

Requirements

Hands-on CNC programming, set-up, and troubleshooting experience required (MasterCam preferred)
5–7 years of experience in a CNC machining/manufacturing environment
Experience with CNC & VMC machines (HAAS preferred)
Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and inspection methods (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
Proven ability to lead in a working supervisor capacity
Ability to support operators and resolve machining issues in real time
Strong problem-solving and communication skills in a production environment
Must meet ITAR requirements (U.S. Person status required)

Responsibilities

Actively perform CNC programming, machine set-ups, and troubleshooting on the shop floor
Provide hands-on technical support to operators to resolve machining and production issues
Supervise second shift CNC operations and ensure production schedules are met
Oversee CNC programming activities and ensure accuracy and efficiency of programs
Coordinate with engineering and production teams to resolve technical challenges and avoid downtime
Train and mentor CNC personnel, supporting skill development and cross-training
Monitor tooling, machine performance, and workflow to maintain efficiency
Identify and implement process improvements to increase productivity and reduce interruptions
